Masked Sphinx studied fine art painting at Camberwell and Norwich Art Schools (1997) and lives and works in London. She has curated and exhibited in several large-scale projects, events and exhibitions including the Uniqlo Tate Lates, Tate Modern (2018), a solo exhibition at Conway Hall, London (2017) and in group shows that include the Gerald Moore Gallery, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Guys Hospital and the Stephen Lawrence Centre. She ran South London Women Artists (2013-2016) and during this time she was the founder and editor of ArtVerve, a journal on women’s art (2014-2017).
Artist about her work: “My art explores the emotional effects of the unconscious; bringing into play a visual mashup of universal symbols, mysterious landscapes and biomorphic forms that connect directly to my sexuality, spiritual awareness and growth. The cosmic divine.“
