‘Art is my Passion’. It defines how I relate to the world I live in.

I was exposed to Art from an early age. My grandmother was a renown local artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art in London.

After graduating from the London College of Fashion with a diploma in Art and Design, I created a successful career as an international fashion designer. 

My label, ‘Mandy Pothecary’ was well known for my designs in Liberty Prints, selling to all the top luxury department stores in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Europe, Hong Kong and the West Indies. Showing seasonally in London, Paris , New York, and Germany.

In 2003 I moved to Spain for nine years and went back to my love of painting and drawing animals and in particular the wonderful majestic Andalusian Horses.  

Artists Statement:

Pastels are a wonderful media for drawing animals . It brings out the sensitivity and characteristics of their muscular tone, eyes and texture of their fur, that is unique to pastel.
